The brush or carbon brush is an electrical contact that can conduct current between fixed wires and moving parts, most commonly in rotating shafts. Typical applications include electric motors, alternators and generators. The life of China carbon brushes depends on the amount of motor used and the power passing through the motor.
Style: Universal
This type of carbon brush is used in hundreds of brands and models of generators.
These carbon brushes have 2-1/4" diameter holes.
The holes are spaced at 1-inch centers.
The brush is approximately 5/8 inch from the back of the brush, at the center of the 5/8 inch.
If needed, you can use spacers to let the brush touch.
A carbon brush is a sliding contact used to transmit electrical current from a static to a rotating part in a motor or generator, and, as regards DC machines, ensuring a spark-free commutation.
Function of brushes is to transfer the current from coil to load connected in the circuit of the electric generator.
